The 2024 General Election in South West England

Here is the Guardian’s electoral map of South West England this morning:

Having been completely blue yesterday, Cornwall is now divided amongst Labour and the Lib Dems.

Following minor boundary changes our local constituency no longer includes the words “West Devon” in its title, but Sir Geoffrey Cox is one of the Conservative MPs who have held their seat in Devon, now called “Torridge and Tavistock”:

Amongst members of the outgoing Conservative cabinet Johnny Mercer has lost Plymouth Moor View to Labour, whilst Mel Stride has held Central Devon by a mere 61 votes.

All the national results have not yet been declared, but here’s how the forecast nationwide “Labour landslide” has turned out so far:
